Today we’re going to a little something different. Normally we will show you a complete range of products but this time we are going to show you one product but, and the best part is, you will get to see the different sizes this candle comes in from tins, jars etc.

Now, we all know how much everyone loves Sarah J Maas’ A Court of Thorns and Roses series so we thought we’d show you a new product to our store featuring one of our favourite characters. Now this character has always been a good one but it’s only in A Court of War & Ruins did he because an absolute favourite or for me anyway. 

So everyone, please welcome Bookworm Candles and Crafts latest character candle reveal – LUCIEN! 

Lucien smells like Russett, Autumn Rose and Nutmeg and has a fresh autumnal feel with a sunny warm side. Sounds lovely right? And these are the candles sizes available.

This 2oz starter candle is perfect for people who want to test a scented candle before buying a larger candle and priced at just £3 per candle it’s the perfect price too. As this is starter candle it comes with a cute handmade crochet band and lid artwork and, will roughly burn for around 15 hours.

4oz Best Seller Candle Tin - £6
This 4oz candle tin is one of our most popular tins. This tin is perfect if you want a bigger size at an affordable price or even as a gift for a family friend/relative. It’s the only candle tins that has a double wick and also comes with a bigger styled handmade crochet band and lid artwork. It will burn for around 25 hours. 

8oz Wooden Wick Candle Tin - £9
This 8oz tin is a little different from your 2oz and 4oz tins. Slightly bigger in size as well as having a different design on the lid as well as having a wrap-around label. It will also have a wooden wick and have a small handmade crochet band too and lid artwork. This is the largest candle tin and will burn for around 35 hours. 

7oz Signature Jar - £9.50
These signature candle jars are perfect for you candle lovers who prefer jar candles over tins – especially if you want them sitting nicely on your bookshelves. The wax in these jars all come in a white creamy wax and are only used for the character candles. This beautifully shaped jar comes with a book page glass button as well as a character related charm and lid artwork. This candle will burn for around 30 hours.

And we’re back with another post today featuring our favourite UK candle and craft company Bookworm Candles and Crafts.

So I’m going to start with a new range that has come to Bookworm Candles and Crafts store which is The Feels Candle Range. I bet you’re wondering what The Feels mean? But you all know them stories that give you major feels? Well take a look at some of those feels in candle form! 

Starfall inspired by Sarah J. Mass’ A Court of Mist and Fury
This candle has been available in the store for some time however it’s back with a new look and a slightly new scent which smells like Stars, Surprises and Hope and representing that moment in the book where one night a year when the stars literally fall from the sky in the Night Court. 

Sounds of Cedar inspired by Colleen Hoover’s Maybe Someday 
This is one of the first new adult romance inspired candles featured in the store. No collection would be complete without a Colleen Hoover inspired candle. Smelling like Cedarwood, Honesty and Heartbreaking Memories and has a woody clean fresh scent. This candle is inspired by the moment where Ridge explains how he came up with the name of his band, it really gives you the feels. 

Always inspired by J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter 
This candle is inspired from Snape talking to Dumbledore and uttering those words ‘Always’ while producing his doe patronus really gave us the feels. Smelling like Devotion, Longing and Lilies, this candle has a true floral scent with notes of star gazer lilies. It’s a perfect addition to any Harry Potter fans collection.

Parabati inspired by Cassandra Clare’s Infernal Devices
This candle represents everything between Jem and Will’s parabati bond and let’s not forget that famous quote ‘Entreat Me Not to Leave Thee’ between the pair. Smelling like Bonds, Vows, Friendships, and this candle has a gentle musk scent with notes of violet lily and rose and comes in a lovely bright red colour. 

Carranam inspired by Sarah J. Maas’ Throne of Glass series
This beautiful candle is inspired by the carranam bond formed between Aelin & Rowan through-out the last few books. Their bond is like no other and the candle represents it’s strength. Smelling like Claiming, Fae Powers and Bonds this candle has a light citrus magical scent with notes of neroli blossom and basil. Perfect for any of fan of this one moment that will definitely give you the feels.

Calanmai inspired by Sarah J. Maas’ A Court of Thorns and Roses
This candle is inspired by the event Calanmai in the book and a lot of you will relate it to Tamlin and Feyre but Danielle (the maker) made this candle because it reminded her of the moment Feyre & Rhys first met and he says those first words to her ‘There you are. I’ve been looking for you.’ Smelling like floral decadent fragrance with notes of violet, sweet musk and crisp apple. This candle is perfect for you fans of the book and either which team your on.

Imprinting inspired by Stephanie Meyer's Twilight
Everyone loves Twilight so why not have a Twilight inspired candle featuring one of our favourite parts of the book. This candle smells like bonds, ties and gravity and has a mystical scent with notes of plums, rose, myrrh and sandalwood. This exotic fragrance is perfect for any fan!

The Review: As soon as I heard about Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones I pre-ordered it straight away. If I’m honest that’s not me at all. I very rarely pre-order debut books until I start hearing some hype from bloggers who received advanced copies, however I read the blurb of this story and just knew that I had to read this book. 

Wintersong is about a young girl named Lisel who has to hide her musical talent from her family but yet there is one person who loves to hear Lisel play, someone from her past who she has tried to forget but that person can’t forget her – The Goblin King. Deep in the woods and underground The Goblin King lives and he will do anything to have Lisel – even if that means taking away one of the people she loves most, her sister. Lisel will do anything to get her sister back and away from the goblins and The Goblin King but that means she may have to sacrifice herself. 

You know when you start reading a book and you just don’t want to put it down? That’s how I felt while reading Wintersong. It was impossible to put down and I fell in love with the story from the very start. The story is simply written so beautifully and it’s such a magical read that is mysterious and spell-binding. And the music aspect was such a beautiful touch that made me enjoy it all the more. 

The characters were simply fantastic. They weren’t perfect and had their faults but no-one is perfect and so I forgave them when they made mistakes. I just loved the characters, every minute they were together was nail-biting and nerve-racking but so beautiful too. I loved that they could connect through music when they couldn’t or wouldn’t always put their feelings into words. It just made for a very beautiful read!

I hear the story is being compared to a Hades and Persephone re-telling or a Labyrinth re-telling which doesn’t bother me at all because this book could have been a re-telling of any kind and I still would have looked this book. It is its own book, no matter where the inspiration came from to write it, so before you read try and keep an open mind and I’m sure you’ll love it. 

By the time I’d finished the book my emotions were all over the place. That ending? Talk about a cliff-hanger but I’m so glad the author is writing another book because I wouldn’t have been happy had that been the end of the story. 

In all Wintersong is a fantastic read and dare I say my favourite read of 2017 so far!

Next to show you a product that Bookworm Candles and Craft are rebranding and that’s their wax melts! Now I know there is a lot of confusion when it comes to wax melts, people don’t know what they do or how they’re used. Wax melts are pieces of scented wax that you melt in a burner. The wax melts are placed on the top of part of your burner and a little tea light goes underneath to melt the wax. There you have it! Your home will be scented through-out. You can purchase wax burners from companies like Amazon, Argos and even some of your local shops. 

So now you know a little bit about wax melts and their burners, here is the first new release from Bookworm Candles and Craft and it’s one of our favourite characters of the Throne of Glass series – Aelin! 

These wax melts are inspired by the Queen of Terrasen herself and they smell like jasmine, lemon verbena and embers. Each piece of wax should last around a week but it’s completely depends on how strong you want the fragrance flowing through your home. You can burn two pieces at a time for a stronger scent if you like.

It’s been a few weeks since our last post featuring Bookworm Candles and Crafts and as promised I’m here today to showcase some of their latest work and some of their newer products which will becoming available soon.

Firstly I’m going to start with their December monthly subscription box. For those of you who don’t know what a monthly subscription box is, it’s a box full of bookish themed goodies. It contains six to eight gorgeous bookish items which have all been handmade by Bookworm Candles & Crafts and put in a cute box for you to enjoy. Included in the box is a candle tin, a handmade themed soap and a few more surprise items, all within the special chosen theme. Donna’s thoughts: Even though I’m not a Harry Potter fan (don’t shoot me) I still wanted this box and thankfully a friend bought it me for Christmas (thank you Natalie). Even though I’m not a fan of the series when this box arrived and I saw everything that was included, it’s safe to say I was overwhelmed because it all looked so perfect. You can see how much effort has gone into each item and I think it’s amazing that Danielle has the creativity to create such perfect items for us all to love and enjoy. My favourite item from the box has to be the Golden Snitch Necklace. It’s so well made and looks so pretty.
