In New York Times bestselling author Emma Chase's sizzling and hilarious debut novel, Drew Evans-gorgeous, arrogant, irreverent, and irresistibly charming-meets his match in new colleague Kate Brooks. Drew Evans makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York's most beautiful women with just a smile. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed? He'll tell you he has the flu. But we all know that's not really true. Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. When Kate's hired as the new associate at Drew's father's investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy's life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating. Tangled is not your mother's romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks. As he tells his story, Drew learns that the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can't live without.

The Review: Funny, sexy and charming, Tangled is a must read that will give you many laugh out loud moments!

Drew Evans is a playboy – he loves women and he’s not ashamed to admit it. Every weekend it’s all about finding someone new to ‘play’ with and this time Drew has his eyes on a hot brunette who seems to have no interest in Drew whatsoever. But the real joke is on Drew because the hot brunette – Kate is about to star in Drew’s life in more ways than one. Kate has just been employed by Drew’s father as the new associate for his firm, so not only does Drew have to keep his distance from his new employee – even though he can’t stop fantasizing about her, he also has to battle her for the next big client, and Kate likes winning just as much as Drew. Has Drew finally found his match in Kate or will he allow his past to play a role in his future?

Welcome to the world of Drew Evans ladies! Wow, what a ride this story was. From the get go, were thrown into Drew Evan’s head and boy, was it funny. Really, is this how guys actually behave and think? If so, I’m a little scared. LOL. It was actually like watching a movie play out in your head. I could just picture Drew talking to us ladies about his playboy life and then it’s like freeze frame – and he’s frozen the entire scene while he talks about something else. It’s kind of like the first season of Sex and the City where Carrie will be talking and then the whole scene freezes, and if you’ve watched that, then this is what it’s like with Drew – I loved it!

Drew is completely lovable – even though at times I wanted to hit him over the head. He’s arrogant, witty, smart, fun, sexy – everything! He doesn’t take no for an answer and he goes after exactly what he wants – he’s very determined and dedicated to his job too. And of course, he believes he knows women. Yes he treats them hot one minute and then cold the next, but that’s Drew. Once he meets Kate his whole world changes and I believe it’s a case of fate – he’s never found that one women that is completely and wholly perfect for him until Kate, and of course, she makes him work harder than ever to get what he wants. And Kate, I liked her. I think he matched Drew in every strength and made him come to realise his old life – before her – wasn’t worth it. He needs more. I really enjoyed their scenes together and of course, the sex was H.O.T.T hot!

Tangled is a book that didn’t disappoint me one bit, and I’m really glad I had the opportunity to read it. I look forward to reading more from Drew and Kate in the sequel Twisted!

Thank you to The Hot Bed for the opportunity to review this book!

Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?

He’ll tell you he has the flu.

But we all know that’s not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything - or anyone - derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life?

Can Drew Evans win at love?

Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.

The Review: “Fuck you!” She stalks back around my desk toward the door.  “Here? Now?” I look up at the ceiling, like I’m debating the prospect. “Well…okay. But be gentle. My couch is a virgin.” - Drew

Firstly….Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! This book was HILARIOUS!

Omg! When I first saw this advertised on Goodreads I was like…I HAVE TO HAVE IT! Honestly it was just so refreshing to read a book written from the male point of view, all be it and egotistical, narcissistic, arrogant, sex mad, male but a male none the less…and boy is Drew a male.

I pretty much bumped this up on TBR list because I saw everyone enjoying it and I had to see what all the fuss was about, and I get it! I totally got it!

Tangled is actually a pretty fantastic book. From the moment you meet Drew you just can’t help but love him, and you know it’s wrong you should like him because he’s a womanizer and only thinks with his dick. But you do, and you keep reading because his inner monologue is hilarious.

I don’t know how Emma Chase did it, she really delved deep into the male mind and brought out a fabulous book that will just have you in tummy roll laughs and to be honest, and when he has sex…it’s hot. It’s like whoa! Seriously hot under the collar.

Anyway I really did enjoy his and Kate’s relationship, spawned out of hate and competition in the company to lust filled wanting for each other. It really develops and you get one of the greatest pay outs ever, but even before that, their kisses were scorching. Wow.

I very much devoured this book, I just couldn’t get enough. I fell in love with Drew and just as much as the next reader will, really enjoyed being inside his head. His character really develops and Emma Chase did a wonderful job portraying his change throughout the book after he begins to feel something for Kate.

Overall if you want a LAUGH OUT LOUD book told from a sexy male then pick up Tangled, pretty sure you’re going to wet yourself when you read it…in more ways than one (if you catch my drift?).

I cannot WAIT for Twisted to get more and more of Drew and Kate. Just. Awesome.

Well done Emma Chase! Well done!

Just going to leave you with some great Drew quotes.

"No, I haven’t fucked her. Not that I wouldn’t love to. Trust me, if she didn’t work for me, I’d hit that harder than Mohammed Ali."

“Although my mind recognizes that Kate Brooks is now my rival, apparently my cock hasn’t gotten the memo."

“You are driving me crazy!” Her cheeks are flushed, her breathing’s fast, and she’s got murder in her eyes. Beautiful. I raise my brows hopefully. “Crazy? Like you want to rip my shirt open again?” “No. Crazy like the itch of a yeast infection that just won’t go away."

5 full blown laughing out loud stars from me :)
