After their long summer apart, Ally and Jake were hoping for a drama free senior year. Instead they are faced with a turn of events that threaten to tear them apart...for good.

It turns out that Chloe is pregnant and says that Jake is the father. Hammond is pissed at his best friend, but mostly can't believe that Ally would stay with Jake. But Ally is tired of being apart from Jake and is willing to make it work. But that is easier said than done when Jake starts blowing Ally off to go to doctor's appointments with Chloe and Ally joins the school play and meets a new cute guy. As graduation approaches, new secrets come out and Ally realises maybe Jake isn't the guy she thought he was. After everything they've been through can Ally and Jake get out of Orchard Hill with their relationship in tact?

The Review: “What would you do if it were me?' she asked, her voice practically a whisper. 'Do you think you'd feel different about it?'
My breath caught in my throat. *I'd marry you* was the first thought that popped into my mind. And it was true, I realised suddenly. I would marry her. I would take care of her. I would do whatever to protect her.” - Jake

If you've been keeping track with my progress with this series, you'll know I've had a few problems with but overall I like it. Now I've just finished This is So Not Happening - which is the final book to the series, I find that it's a really bitter sweet moment for me. Even though  I only started this series a few days ago and I kind of don't want it to end - but at the same time, I'm glad the author ended it here because I  don't think she could have taken the series any further.

After seeing Ally & Jake get back together at the end of He' So Not Worth It, unfortunately their moments are short lived because Chloe - one of Ally's best friends who slept with Jake over the summer, claims she's pregnant - and Jake's the father. Ooh!
Ally's stick and tired of trying to stay away from Jake so she makes the decision to support him, however this is harder than it sounds because soon Jake starts blowing Ally off to Chloe and the baby. Can Ally and Jake's relationship survive this drama? Or will one of them mess it up forever?

Drama, drama, drama! This book is full of it but luckily enough it's not as frustrating as the last book. I actually really enjoyed this book, it rekindled my love for this series and made me see why I liked it to start with. There was so much happening with this book too that it was a like a emotional roller coaster. If you thought the characters were going to get it easy this time, then you're wrong. If anything it's all that much worse because not only do they have relationship problems but they have to worry about getting into to college too and of course, there's the baby problem. I really enjoyed this storyline, it was heart-breaking, suspenseful and intriguing - you just didn't know where the author would take the story next and I loved that.

Now the characters;
Ally: She was defiantly a more enjoyable character this time around but my heart went out for the situation she was put it. I had a lot of respect for her sticking by Jake during this time because I can't imagine how many people would have. Not only that she really grows as a person especially when it comes to her mother's new relationship, where as before she was bitter and childish, she really sees the relationship as it is and accepts it. Good on her!

Jake: Oh boy, I think he needed a wake up call. However he does do the right thing to stick behind Chloe and the baby, however he does the wrong thing to Ally...again. He doesn't learn...I'm surprised by how many chances Ally gives him and at times, he doesn't deserve them but he does redeem himself by the end.

One thing I was hoping for with this book was an epilogue. I love them at the end of a series, so it gives the readers the closure they need but there wasn't one. I would have loved it so we could have seen what the characters were up to in the future.

Overall, This is So Not Happening was a great end to a good series - one that has loud-out-load scenes but one that has emotional scenes too. I'd definitely recommend this series to YA contemporary romance fans  and I'll definitely keep an eye out for this authors work in the future.

A Review for He's So Not Worth It (He's So/She's So, #2) by Kieran Scott

Ally Ryan, come on down to the Jersey Shore! Have you recently been humiliated at your former best friend's birthday party? Was your almost-boyfriend partly responsible for that humiliation by withholding some vital information about your estranged father? Did you come home to find said estranged father sitting on your doorstep? If so, you really need a vacation! Sun, sea and sand are the perfect way to unwind and forget about your frenemies. Plus, what better way to get over Jake than to hook up with local guy, Cooper.
Jake Graydon, an exciting opportunity is waiting for you in the service industry! Are your grades so low you're grounded for the summer? Did you the girl you like unceremoniously dump you? Would you rather eat dirt than see your "friends" again? Then a job at the local coffee shop is just the ticket! Unfortunately, Ally's father is the new manager so you'll be reminded of her nearly every day. Maybe it's time to start flirting with your best friend's ex or even start taking school a bit more seriously. Especially when you finally see Ally and she's hanging around with some loser and it's couldn't be more clear that she is so over you.
It's going to be a great summer!

The Review: “I missed you so much," she breathed. I tilted my head back and put my hands on her shoulders. I could hardly believe this was happening. I was finally getting to touch her. To kiss her. It was all happening. "I missed you, too.” - Jake

After finishing She's So Dead to Us, I immediately dived into this - He's So Not Worth It, well with that cliff-hanger who wouldn't? Now considering how much I enjoyed the first book, I was expecting to enjoy this one more, however I was really disappointed when I didn't - I actually enjoyed this less.

After the shocking cliff-hanger in She's So Dead to Us, we see Ally head to the beach for the summer to try and get over the humiliation from Shannen's birthday party and we see Jake, staying behind at home while all his friends go away for summer because he's grounded and is forced to get a job by his mother. Now the story line is great, it was nice to see the characters go off and do their own things but, what I didn't enjoy was how much drama and angst and stubbornness came out of this book - it was very frustrating at times because while I enjoyed the amount of drama and angst in the first one, I thought it was too much in this one. Not only that but the characters annoyed this time too.

Ally: She really frustrated and I mean REALLY frustrated me. I really felt for her situation so I sympathised for her, but as the book went on she became a very bitter, childish character. I know she was upset and heart-broken, but the way she acted really was uncalled for. She's mean to her mum, she's rude to her friends and it came across quite bitchy. Oh and I'm mustn't forget her stubbornness which again was frustrating. Jake reaches out to Ally so many times and she just throws it in his face by getting together with that local guy - who by the way is a total creep.

Jake: I really liked him to start with but I wish he's just say what he thinks. He goes to Ally and tries to reconnect with her and messes it up. So, what does he do? Sleeps with one of best friends - idiot! He's a lovely character when he wants to be, but when it comes to girls and they offer him sex, he's weak. It sometimes make me question if he deserves Ally but with the way they both acted in this book, they deserve each other. I'm praying they both redeem themselves because I loved them to start and now I'm slowly hating them every time they make a stupid decision - even though the ending of this book was good, they still need to do something out-standing for me.

I know I've moaned a lot in this review but I still do think this series is worth a read. It's just with this being the second book and with the way the characters acted, it's a very frustrating read and I don't like that. Anyway, still I'm starting book three....now! =)

Ally Ryan would rather be in Maryland. She would rather be anywhere, in fact, than Orchard Hill, site of her downfall. Well, not hers exactly—but when your father’s hedge fund goes south and all your friends lose their trust funds, things don’t look so sunny for you. Her mother moved her to Maryland to flee the shame, but now they’re moving back. Back to the country-club, new-car-every-year, my-family-came-over-on-the-Mayflower lifestyle that Ally has outgrown. One bright spot, however, is gorgeous, intense Jake Graydon. But it won’t be easy for the two of them to be together—not if his friends (her former friends) have anything to say about it. Is Ally ready to get thrown back into the drama of the life she left behind?

The Review: "Suddenly my palms were sweating under my gloves. I slid my hand away and we got back to work, but I felt as if my whole body was on high alert. There was no getting around it anymore. I was falling for this girl. Big-time.” - Jake

Before I start this review, I have a tiny confession to make.....so, I'd never heard of this series before I received book three, This is So Not Happening for review. Shock horror, I should be hanging my head in shame! I can't believe I'd never heard of it before and there was me thinking I was pretty up to date with the YA contemporary romance series and really, I wasn't.

She's So Dead to Us is book one in the She's So/He's So series by author Kieran Scott and if you haven't read this book, then go read it now. Kieran Scott delivers an awesome story that is full of teenage drama and angst that really everyone should read. If that's not convinced you to read it, how about me saying....this story is told from alternative point's of view? Woohoo! You know I love that and yes, it goes from Ally to Jake who are both the main characters and it's amazing.

Ally: I really liked her. Even though she's had something happen that has effected her life that she wasn't in control of, she tries to remain upbeat and happy. She doesn't hold grudges and when her friends treat her like rubbish, she tries to give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm not sure I could do that because she does go through the ringer in this book. I loved how she stood up them but what I enjoyed about her so much was, how she was around Jake. It was clear she was attracted to him and it was nice to see their relationship play out.

Jake: Awww I loved him and then I hated him and then I loved him again. He's funny, cute and sexy but he is a lad's lad. He sleeps around, he drinks and acts stupid with his friends. I did have mixed feelings with him just because I wish he's stand up his friends who were Ally's ex-friends. They made her life hell and sometimes he'd go with it, even though he was clearly attracted to her. I wish he'd just get some balls and tell them what's what, so I liked it when he finally took charge.

The story itself is one hell of a ride. I managed to feel every emotion possible from sadness to joy to love to hate, it's really emotional and at times I felt like throwing it at the wall with frustration but I kept on reading and it really is a good read. And the cliff-hanger at the end....what a killer. I'm so glad I have book two, He's So Not Worth It ready and waiting for me.

Is Ally ready to get thrown back into the drama of the life she left behind?

The Review: I found out about this series when I saw the 3rd book advertised thinking it was a standalone. When I found out it was a series I had to get the first one.
.
I absolutely loved this book. It was like a movie playing out in my head all the way through. Ally Ryan is an excellent protagonist, she's just returned home to the 'Crestie' side of town. She's an outcast now after her father lost millions of dollars of her friends money. He friends no longer want to speak to her or have anything to do with her. Ally is very strong, she goes through a lot of issues and she handles it very well.
.
There's so much emotion, it's such a rollercoaster ride and when Ally is going through all her trouble you really feel for her. You feel immediately connected with her.
.
The book is told through alternative points of view between Ally and Jake. Jake is now living in Ally's old house and has her old room. They both connect with each other through a love of basketball and a week long detention together. Jake is extremely swoonworthy, however his friends are Ally's old friends so Jake is sometimes torn between standing up for what is right with Ally and staying on the side of his friends. I did like Jake, but there were times I felt he should have had his priorities straight to begin with. But as the book went on you grow to enjoy their relationship and root for things to go well. But naturally, like in an episode of Gossip Girl (I've never seen it I'm just going on word of mouth) it doesn't pan out. Which brings me to the HUGE cliffhanger at the end of this book, which unless you already have book 2 will leave you reeling! It's lucky I have book 2 because the cliffhanger was intense.
.
This is the first book that I'd read by Kieran Scott and I intend to read more. She's a brilliant story teller and has a knack for clearly writing a book that runs like a movie in your head.
.
So if you haven't already read this book, then you should really pick it up. And enjoy :)
