The Blurb from Goodreads: The Kailmeyra Chronicles: Book Two--

Life for Nora couldn't be better; she has married the man of her dreams and loves living in the pristine land of Kailmeyra.

That is, until the darkness threatens her perfect world.

Now war is upon the land. She and Gavin must strengthen their clan and prepare to fight. But the enemy has an ally—one that not only wields power, but holds knowledge of the ancients' secrets. Secrets that could destroy creation itself.

As the darkness grows, doubt seeps in ... protectiveness hinders progress ... and the unthinkable comes to pass.

Bewildered and alone, Nora shoulders the responsibility of leading an entire race to war. As she struggles with decisions that seem impossible to make, she is haunted by one choice.

"No one has ever doubted that you would die for those you love. The question then becomes ... would you live?"

The Review: I was super excited to read this book after reading Elizabeth Isaac’s first bookA Light of Asteria and I have to say, she has done a fantastic job with The Secrets of Keepers and I loved it just as much as the first.

In this book, we see Nora finally marry the man of her dreams; Gavin. They take a long honeymoon so they can get to know each other more and get used to all their advanced gifts that being couple brings. Everything is going great until war comes to the Kailmeyra’s land and Nora and Gavin must strengthen their people and prepare them to fight. But the enemy has knowledge of all the keepers’ secrets and that could destroy….everything!

Once again Elizabeth has created a captivating and magical world that will keep you entertained and make you fall in love with the characters all over again. The Secrets of Keepers was as exciting and shocking as ever and even more in-depth that the first book.

Our characters; Nora and Gavin are as close as ever and I loved the development with their relationship. Their marriage has bonded them together forever, that no-one can break and I loved reading about them exploring each other’s gifts. Each one brings a certain quality to the relationship and I would hate to even think of this couple ever being without the other.

The trials that all of our characters have to face in this book are fantastic and dangerous as ever and I loved all the new characters that were introduced and tied to the story. I also loved finding more about the culture of Kailmeyra.

Overall, The Secrets of Keepers was a great sequel and I can’t wait to get my hands on book three.

Thank to you Elizabeth Isaacs for providing me with a copy of this book.
