Shadowfever, oh my! Where do I even start with Shadowfever? It’s nearly 3 days later and I’m still gushing and thinking about this book….I LOVED IT! 

After the shocking events in Dreamfever, Mac is struggling to cope with the grief of losing someone close to her. She has no other option but to team up with the Lord Master and try to contain the Sinsar Dubh for herself. However, things don’t go that smoothly when Mac finds out the truth about Barron’s and the battle between humans and Fae comes to ahead and finally, the Sinsar Dubh starts hunting Mac but why? 

Words can not describe the emotions I felt during this book. I thought I was nervous reading Dreamfever but Shadowfever was a whole different story. Honestly…..it’s EPIC! I loved it! 

Ms Moning totally out does herself with her awesome and well thought out storylines that leaves you questioning everything you once believed. You don’t know who to trust, you don’t know what’s coming next and you certainly can not predict the outcome. 

The whole series in general was great. Yes, it started out a little slow and yes, I did moan there was no romance at the start but I have to say, I’m pretty eager to re-read these books because I honestly think I will feel totally different about them the second time round. I’ve fallen in love with the characters and I’ve fallen in love with the story that I am still thinking about them days after. And of course, Barron’s is the one I’m thinking about most. Can I marry him? Wow! What a guy! I could just gush about him all day long…..that man seriously….MADE THESE BOOKS! If it wasn’t for him I would of lost interest ages ago but Ms Moning deserves a pat on the back for creating such a fantastic male character. 

Overall, the Fever series is probably not my favourite series of all time but it’s definitely on my favourite list and I would like to re-read the series again, so until that day I’ll be counting down the days. I’d recommend the series to anyone. Shadowfever was definitely the best out of the series and I can not wait to read more in book 6 & 7 when there finally released.

Oh my, doesn't that quote above just make you melt? I love it! Dreamfever has honestly left me speechless! Honestly, I’m not even sure I can write a coherent review….but I’ll try.

After the events in Faefever, Mac has been turned Priya (Fae sex addict) after being raped by three of the Unseelie Princes and is now in the clutches of the Lord Master. Luckily enough Dani rescues her and takes her to the Sidhe Seer quarters.  While there, Rowena locks Mac up and treats her like dirty but thankfully, Barron’s comes to her rescue. After spending a few months Priya and surviving, which no-one has ever done before, Mac is now on the war path to find out answers and try to save the world after the walls between human and Fae have come down.

I can just say OMG again! Yep! The first few chapters of this book had me sitting on the edge of my seat…oh my, not even the edge; I was practically on the floor with anticipation and raw nerves. I’ve never felt so much emotion during the first few chapters of a book before but Ms Moning manages to create  emotional, breath-taking and spine-tingling scenes and chapter four…was the best! Chapter four, chapter four, chapter four! After reading that my heart was seriously torn from being completely full of joy and being heart broken. We see both Mac and Barron’s in a totally different light and if you don’t love Barron’s after that scene then you’re totally crazy. He does what he does best….saves Mac but in the most beautiful way. Mac did comment that she wished she had a choice about the things that happen to her over them awful months but what she doesn’t realise at the time is that it’s some of the best things that have happened to her.  I could re-read that chapter over and over…..and over again. However, after all the moments of joy, things quickly revert back to the normal Mac and Barron’s and I was highly frustrated with both of them. I don’t know why they fight so much when their clearly attracted to one another so it was a bit annoying.

The story develops really well and you can kind of see where the story is headed. All the key players are lined up nicely and I’m looking forward to seeing the end results. However, again I was a little frustrated with parts of the book, questions come up all the time and are never answers and just when you think you get somewhere more damn questions come up. I NEED ANSWERS!

Now onto that ending…..the ending….oh my! I spent the last part of the book thinking, “what the hell has this got to do with anything?” Honestly, I couldn’t even think where the story was going and then wham! Oh my frigging god! What the hell happened? It couldn’t be who I think it was….and all I thinking was NOOOOOO! I needed more and I had to reach for Shadowfever straightaway.

Overall, Awesome fourth book and Ms Moning is doing better and better.

The Review: So you all know I finished Bloodfever and moved straight on to Faefever and I have to say, wow! Yes…this series is definitely getting better!

In this book we see Mac and Barron’s who are still trying to get their hands on the Sinsar Dubh for their own purposes. However, after some many failed attempts their not quite sure what to do next. While Mac is still trying to find out answers about herself, she is left trying to help stop the walls between Faery and Earth coming down on All Hallows Eve. With the help of the Mackelters, The Sidhe Seers, V’lane and Barron’s hopefully everything will go as planned, but when Mac gets into trouble before she can even help out and she is pushed into a corner that leaves her with no help, unprotected and vulnerable in a truly shocking situation.

Faefever is spilt up into three parts and I have to say, part one and two were okay. It wasn’t until part three that things really started to pick up and then I was left wanting more. The series is as addicting as all the previous books but I can say I’m enjoying them so much more now because FINALLY, FINALLY…..we’re starting to see Mac and Barron’s crack. So far, there has just been banter and small arguments between them but now it’s heating up and you can honestly feel the passion brewing between these two characters.  Yes, Barron’s is still mean sometimes and oh my, that birthday cake. After that scene I was really mad at him but as you can tell, I couldn’t stay mad at him for long. I love that man ;) So yes, finally I’m glad we’re starting to see something happen between these two.

I really enjoyed all the additional characters like Dani, Christian and even some of the Sidhe Seers. They all bring an element of excitement to the story and are all totally unique….which I love. The storyline was again exciting and thrilling. Many major twists and turns through out and Ms Moning definitely knows how to keeps us readers on our toes.

Now…….that ending. OH MY GOD! I honestly had to do a double take. I think I even shouted NOOOOOO at the book. It’s safe to say I was gob-smacked because it was so unexpected and I couldn’t believe the direction that the story went. I had to reach for book four straight away because it was such a huge cliff-hanger.

If you haven’t read this series then I suggest you do. Like me I’d put if off for so long but now I’m finally in the middle of them and I really like them. So, so far Fever is a win!

The Review: 3.5 out of 5: After reading Darkfever I went ahead and started Bloodfever straightaway and boy, am I glad I did. This series is slowly getting better and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Bloodfever starts with Mac and Barron’s still trying to locate the Sinsar Dubh – a million year old book that every Fae member is trying to get a hold of. With dangerous Fae assassins lurking around every corner Mac is sure in for a bumpy ride. But worse of all, she still doesn’t know who to trust. Torn between V’lane; a sex by death Fae or Barron’s; a man full of mystery that keeps all his secrets to himself, Mac realises that the walls between Fae and Earth are coming down and she’s the only thing that can stop it all…..

Bloodfever was a good sequel to Darkfever and I found myself truly enjoying the world Karen Moning has created. This time I felt the story is slowly coming together and getting better with every page I turned.  Although I am still as frustrated as ever that there isn’t any romance in the book. As you can see I’m an impatient person so waiting for something to happen between Mac and Barron’s is slowly killing me. Nonetheless, I’m very excited to get to that point and hoping it will be worth the wait.

I felt Mac as a character was a lot stronger this time around. The troubles she goes through really bring out her strong points and even in moments of weakness, you can see that she’s braver, tougher and even more determined. I loved this Mac and again, I’m glad she fighting hard to keep her girlie there too. Barron’s….I don’t really feel like he developed at all as a character during this book but you still can’t help love him.

The storyline itself was even more dangerous than the first with exciting twists and turns through out. You honestly can’t predict anything because you are so in the dark about what is actually going on until it happens. It’s safe to say this book is just as mysterious as the first and I can’t wait to start Faefever.

The Review:3.5 out of 5. Ever since I joined Goodreads just over a year ago all I've heard about is the Fever series, but because of my schedule I’ve not been able to fit them in. So....finally a year later, I’ve be able to start all thanks to Gollancz Publishing’s and overall, I really enjoyed it. 

This story follows the life of MacKayla Lane. A twenty two year old girl, who lives in Georgia and has a pretty decent life, well, that is until her sister is murdered in Ireland and Mac’s life is turned upside down. She decides to move to Ireland to try and find her sister’s murderer and with the help of a mysterious man Barron’s and evil Fae popping up everywhere, life for Mac soon becomes very interesting…….but also very dangerous.

Darkfever was a great start to an exciting series and I am left wanting more. I really enjoyed the story even though I found it a little slow to start with, but I can honestly see why people love this series so much. It’s exciting, dangerous and totally hot with swoon worthy characters. What I enjoyed most about Darkfever was that we got to see the Fae in a totally different light. I've read a lot of Fae books which have been mainly young adult books and even though I enjoyed them, it's still nice to step away from it and read something slightly darker and Darkfever hit that spot. I loved how there were so many different evil Fae and all of them unique from one another. The creativity and imagination that has gone into this story really reflects well and is very believable.

Mac is an awesome female lead. She's determined, strong minded and stands up for what she believes in. I loved that even though she's a strong character, she still has her girlie side. She loves her long blonde hair, her pink nails and loves dressing in bright colours. I really enjoyed that there was two sides to Mac and even when she's feeling low, she still tries to look on the bright side. Now Barrons, where do I start with him? He's a tricky one. I liked him but I didn't love him, however because I was already prepared for how Barron's acts in book one, I'm still pretty hopeful that I'll end up loving him. And finally...V'lane....wow! He's one hell of a character and I can not wait to see more from him.

Overall, Darkfever is a book I'm glad I've finally read and I can not wait to read more of Ms Moning's work. I'm picking up book 2 straight away tonight to find out what happens next.

The Review: I didn't want it to end! There are no words!! I have no words!! Shadowfever is epic and full off epicness!!! 

I'm...I'm...so so in LOVE with Barrons that I'm still thinking about him. There hasn't been a male character that has made me feel like this in a long time (aside from Jace Wayland,but he's a whole other epicness). Barrons is LOVE. LOVE is Barrons. Period.

Talk about 'saving the best for last'. KMM definitely exceeded with Shadowfever. Absolutely. No doubt. So many twists, so many turns, right ones, wrong ones, confused ones. OMG the confusion that this book left me in sometimes...I wanted to throw this book at the wall! It had be questioning EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING! 

This final installment lived up to all my hopes and expectations. The story line/plot was amazing, so well thought out, that it just made me want to get inside KMM's head and just see how this woman did it. I don't know, but she's a bloody genius! GENIUS! 

The ending was perfect, exactly how I wanted it to end. I was glad Mac got her Happily Ever After, I was glad that Shadowfever showed WHY Barrons acted the way he did in the previous 4 books, I was glad he turned out to be a good guy in the end. The shocker about V'lane was one I didn't see coming, it left me stunned. 

I'm sorry that this review sucked, but its just that epic that it renders your speechless. It really does. I'm going to leave you with these words that really, sum up Shadowfever and the Fever series itself...:

Absolutely Astonishing! 

Breathtaking. 

Mind bending. 

Heart-wrenching.

That's it. That's all I have to say. Except thank you to the girls that pushed me into reading these books, you were right. And I love you for it. I reccommend EVERYONE reads these books. I urge you not to judge the first one harshly, because you'll need to keep reading the whole series to actually realise how immense and wonderful the Fever Series actually is.

The Review: Ok, first things first…about Dreamfever:

WHAT THE F*CK KIND OF ENDING IS THAT??? *Throws book at the wall* I hate you Karen Marie Moning, I hate you. Okay ‘hate’ is a strong word…I simply hate that you’ve created this intense series, with questions that are never answered, only raised. Dreamfever, to say the least, was intense. The ending had me gasping and just praying, and praying that it wasn’t who I thought it was. I didn’t think I could love series so much, that I genuinely wish I could just hate it. But I don’t! I love this series! I loved this book! Argh! Damn you KMM! Damn you!

I’m insanely GLAD that I didn’t have to wait a year like some, for Shadowfever. I had it on my shelf ready and waiting for the day I needed it (which happened to be last night). What can I say about this book? The beginning was-for a lack of a better word-a sexual marathon. After 3 books of waiting on a Barrons and Mac scene, we finally get a payout. Not how I would have wanted it but we got one anyway. During those few scenes, we see a whole new side to Barrons. You know he could have left Mac all sexed up and confused with no inkling or remembrance as to who she was. But no, he did what he had to do and got her out of it, he brought her back; the only way he knew how to. Kudos to him. Anyway Barrons becomes a sensitive person-no, sensitive isn’t a good word, um, I don’t know, he’s just different. Either way YAY to Barrons for bringing her back :). It is kinda sucky that Barrons isn’t around for much of the book after that, but when he does make an appearance it’s always EPIC. Always. V’lane is the same, not around for a lot of the book as this one focuses more on Mac, Dani and the other Sidhe-seers. But when he does pop up, he still exudes this immense sex-God type persona that just makes you weak at the knees.

Mac, carries on with her mission to find the Sinsar Dubh with the help of Dani. I love Dani! She’s fabulous! Witty, such a teenager who develops crushes on both V’lane and Barrons (who can blame her). Anyway, she and Mac become like the best of friends. It was good to see Mac focus on someone she could direct…sorta. I think it helps with the Alina grieving; Mac is now the ‘Big Mac’ and Dani is the little sister. Awesome. These two have such great banter that they just bounce off of each other.

Onto the ending, as you can see from the first little part of this review, for those of you that have read it, I’m pretty sure you all had the same reaction as me. I wasn’t expecting an ending like that, I knew that it would end with Mac still being inside one of the many Fae dimensions/worlds, but I didn’t see that ending coming. I was lost for words. As I was reading that last page, I kept trying to decipher who had just been killed. All these names sprang to my mind, but to say I wasn’t expecting it to that person would be an understatement. It sort of made sense…I guess, with IYD(If you’re dying) number. Either way, I’m sorry but I refuse to believe that that person is dead. Nope, no way. It was then, that I rushed over to my book shelf and picked up Shadowfever and started it and 11.45pm last night. I had to see if I who I thought it was was indeed dead. So I started Shadowfever, and it was confirmed in the 3^rd page. I feel royally bitch slapped and completely effin’ gutted.

Anyway, I’ve tried to write something coherent, I hope it’s worked out okay. I honestly recommend this series to everyone. I’m glad I was bullied on Goodreads to read it, I’m sorry I put other books in front of it, before reading this. *sigh* on with Shadowfever.

I can't seem to find any words...*searches*....*searches*....nope NO words. WAIT! I've found some...:

Just finished this book before I fell asleep on the train and missed my stop. Fail.

Another epic installment of Karen Moning's Fever series. And what a book it was. I'm not really sure I can write a good review. 

What I will say is, I'm glad I have the fourth one right next to me, because that was a cliffhanger and an ending I sooooo wasn't expecting. Seriously. I can't describe how proud I am of Mac, she's come a long way since Darkfever. Lets face it, her job isn't exactly easy? And then to have to be caught in a Barrons and V'lane pissing contest (as she describes it) can't be helping matters either. But god bless Mac she takes it on the chin and perseveres through all the crap that happens to her. 

This book is split into 3 parts. Part 1 was okay, you know it got stuff said some questions were answered, then again more were raised. And before you all ask, NO I still do NOT know what Barrons actually is. Part 2 was well...intense and gritty, and dark, and sexy *cough* V'lane *cough*. Things started to get out of control in part 2, and then part 3, Christ part 3. I was sat there thinking, it's going to be fine, and then THAT happens? I mean what the hell?? I mean I wanted Mac to...you know...but not like that! And not...with...THEM! I hate cliffhangers, and I hate KMM for making me love it so much, when I should find it incredibly frustrating! 

I found myself getting mad at Barrons A LOT in this book. Just the way he is, one minute he's sweet...okay maybe not sweet, but it does feel like he cares, the next minute birthday cake is on the ceiling and he's yelling at Mac? Jeeez cool it Barrons, she was just trying lighten the mood. Having said that, I know I should hate Barrons, I know I should want bad things to happen to him, but God help me, I love the man. Too much. Yeah. Thanks for that too Karen! 

Anyway, I feel like I've been bitch slapped at that ending...BUT I can't help but love it, and is so far the best. I'm glad I'm a late comer to the series, because I have BOTH Dreamfever AND Shadowfever RIGHT HERE waiting!

The Review: Right another review. Here goes. 

I have absolutely no idea what to write. :| I slacked a lot with this one. It's taken me a week to read it, mostly because I was being lazy. I know what you're thinking. How could I put it down? Well actually I couldn't I just happened to take a really long time.

Anyway, Bloodfever continues Mac's journey to avenge her sisters death, and to find the Sinsar Dubh-the Dark Book of the Unseelie. 

After the events in the last book, some of the questions we were left with, are answered. But a lot of new ones arise and make you questions everything again. This book was more thrilling than the last, a lot more action and we meet a few more characters. Mac and Barron's relationship starts to progress a little further in this book which I was pleased to read. I hope the next books give a good Mac and Barrons pay out, because there's so much sexual tension that you could cut it with that bloody spear Mac carries around! HURRY THE FECK UP YOU TWO! 

This book was more fast paced than the previous and I'm sure the ones to come will be better as it goes along. Barrons still uses Mac as his OOP (Object of Power), but Bloodfever shows another side of Barrons that was good to see. From reading I kept sensing that Barrons is starting to fall for Mac and vice versa, whilst all the while still managing to remain mysterious as to who-or what-he actually is. Speaking of Barrons, what the hell is he? We still don't know! He refuses to give Mac straight answers. I'm thinking books 3,4 will probably NOT tell us, which means I have to wait until 5 to find out. Great. WHAT ARE YOU BARRONS?! 

V'lane. I want more V'lane! That supposed human hour that Mac was supposed to have actually turned into a month. I want more than a month with V'lane. MORE!

Anyway, I'm hooked now. Totally not disappointed one bit. Thanks to Britnee and Stacia for recommending and 'bullying' me into reading this series.

The Review:Not sure I can make a good review right now. I'm gonna try. Hopefully it won't be too long either.

After countless nagging and bullying by two of my GR buddies who shall remain nameless for their safety lol. I finally gave in and picked up this book. And yeah, I enjoyed it. A lot.

Yep okay, I see the fuss about Barrons and about V'lane. Nice.

I love Mac, she's incredibly strong, and tries to cope as well as possible after her sister Alina is murdered. Now about that whole Alina dead thing, I normally hate it when authors kill off siblings, especially if they're younger. I'm not saying that a dead sibling is a good thing, I am however glad that we never actually meet Alina at all, or get to know her, and then have her murdered, becasue it would have torn me apart again, just like a certain sibling in The Mortal Instruments and just like another sibling in Mockingjay. Anyway, Mac manages to keep herself together in Dublin and meets the dark and mysterious Jericho Barrons. Yeah, he's all sorts of yum. Some serious sexual tension going on, and I really hope they eventually get it on at some point. *cough*

Anyway, this is just a tiny review to say that so far this series hasn't let me down, and I will continue to read on, and I have ordered Shadowfever already, as I heard about the massive cliffhanger at the end of book 4.

Over all a pretty good read. I do reccommend it :)
