The Blurb from Goodreads: In Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver, Grace and Sam found each other. InLinger, they fought to be together. Now, in Forever, the stakes are even higher than before. Wolves are being hunted. Lives are being threatened. And love is harder and harder to hold on to as death comes closing in.

The Review: Honestly, I’m struggling writing this review, so I’m just going to keep it nice and simple, so here goes.

I’ve always been a huge fan of this series and so you can imagine my excitement, as soon as I found out it was released a few days earlier, of course, I rushed out to get it.

Forever is the last instalment in the Shiver series and Maggie did a great job. You’re thrown back into the world of Sam and Grace but with Grace now being a wolf, you can real feel the tension surrounding our characters and the situation weighing heavy on their shoulders. Even though it sounds quiet depressing, Maggie manages to capture so many different emotions during this book because of the situation there in. There are happy moments, sad moments and even funny moments, moments were your heart breaks and moments were your jumping for joy. I felt every single emotion that the character’s felt throughout this book and it was an emotional rollercoaster.

The story itself, headed in a nice direction with the wolves being in Mercy Falls. With Tom Culpepper still trying to get rid of the wolves, Grace and Sam have no choice but to try and move them. I honestly, don’t know what I expected to come from this book but I felt that this story line, was well fitted and it felt like it belonged in the story. Maggie’s descriptions of the wolves go even further than the first two books and it really gave you an insight to the wolves’ lives. I loved it.

Now, the ending. Was I disappointed with the ending? YES! I know it was an ending about possibility but I was honestly hoping for a bit more than that. Don’t get me wrong, after a few days to think about it, I wasn’t as disappointed as I was but it was still there. It felt unfinished to me, like I could read a whole new book about the characters again, and that’s not what I like from a final book. I like closure, knowing the story is 100% finished but again, it felt unfinished. I also didn’t really like the way it ended with Cole and Isabel. I know it wasn’t their story but after showing us parts of who they are, watching them grow closer and making you love them like you do Sam and Grace, I wanted something more for them. But I ended up disliking their ending the most.

Overall, I think Forever was a fantastic addition to the series and I'm really sad its come to an end.  I would read this series again but I just wasn’t keen on the characters ending. I hope my review doesn’t put anyone off but I felt like I should be totally honest.
