Before she goes after the life she’s always wanted, she’s about to find the one she needs.

Pepper has been hopelessly in love with her best friend’s brother, Hunter, for like ever. He’s the key to everything she’s always craved: security, stability, family. But she needs Hunter to notice her as more than just a friend. Even though she’s kissed exactly one guy, she has just the plan to go from novice to rock star in the bedroom—take a few pointers from someone who knows what he’s doing.

Her college roommates have the perfect teacher in mind. But bartender Reece is nothing like the player Pepper expects. Yes, he’s beyond gorgeous, but he’s also dangerous, deep—with a troubled past. Soon what started as lessons in attraction are turning both their worlds around, and showing just what can happen when you go past foreplay and get to what’s real…

The Review: I've been a fan of Sophie Jordan's work ever since I read her YA series - Firelight, so to hear she was writing a New Adult book made me overly excited, because I knew it would be great, and it really was.

Foreplay is a story about Pepper - a college girl who hasn't had much experience in the sex department before. When she sets her sights on nabbing her best friend's brother - Hunter, she decides she needs to be taught a few things, and soon her roommates have the perfect guy in mind - Reece, Pepper finds herself approaching him. Reece is a guy with a bad reputation but for what Pepper wants, he's the perfect guy. It's not until the lessons start that something slowly starts to develop between them, and suddenly Pepper is questioning who is the right guy for her.

I really enjoyed Foreplay and I think Sophie Jordan really did write a good book - one that many will love. I felt both Pepper and Reece were characters that many people can relate to and their story was a very enjoyable one. I really liked Pepper - even with how naive she was. She really did want to come out of her shell more, and even though she didn't always feel comfortable going to clubs or approaching men, I loved that she had the nerve to try. Reece was for a male lead....great...and hot! It's was exciting to unravel his secrets and get to know him more. The scenes with both Reece and Pepper in were always so entertaining and full of anticipation, and of course full of sexual tension. I also loved the secondary characters. Pepper's friends were funny and really added some great humour into the story.

So in all, Foreplay really hit all the right spots for me as a NA story. I think Sophie Jordan did a great job and I'm excited to see what comes next with the secondary characters.
