When widower and land baron Cole Reardon acquired the Turner Grain Corporation, he didn't know the company sponsored a bull rider. He refuses to support thrill-seekers dumb enough to get on the back of a crazed animal. He’s not willing to risk his fortune and livelihood when he has his daughter's well-being to consider. Not even when the bull rider is the sexiest woman he's ever seen. Bull rider Florentine McDougal plans to turn pro after the season championship, fulfilling her lifelong dream of succeeding in a man’s world. That is, until Cole Reardon shows up and threatens to break his sponsorship contract with her. Now everything she’s worked for is less than eight seconds away from being destroyed. Cole distracts Florentine with his sexy mouth and unreasonable demands, and he's not going to compromise his integrity. But she's not going to let him loose until she has pro status. And neither will come away from this dust-up unscathed.

The Review: This was a very cute story. It turns out it's the 4th in a series which is okay, but I did wish that I had read the previous ones before, however Donna didn't know. When she asked me to read it, I was excited I'd not read anything cowboy related so it was all new to me.

The relationship between Cole and Florentine is one of dislike at first, but it isn't until Flo (that's what I'm calling her because her name is too long) gets injured whilst riding the bull that Cole begins to look after her, returns her to Pike with her family that they start to form a closer bond. It was very well written and quite slowly built up with obstacles getting in the way for both. I just want to make a quick mention for Cole's daughter, Sarah. What an absolutely adorable little girl. I love it when kids of 6 or 7 come into play in books, they bring on a new dynamic to the story and in the end they are the ones that help the couple realise how right they are for each other.

To begin I thought this was a little slow but I think that was mostly based on me going in blind at having not read the previous 3 books. But once I worked out who everyone was, and put the pieces together I ended up really liking it. I do wish that I'd read the other 3 books but from what I can only assume each book deals with each sister, so each book has its own story. Rodeo Rebel can be read as a standalone should you wish to.

Will I continue with the series? Uh, yes I may just read them. However I think I may start from the beginning and work my way through them at some point.

If you're looking for something quick and sexy with a hint of gorgeous abbed cowboy then Rodeo Rebel is probably the right book for you. I do however suggest you read the first 3 books just so you know going into this story where all the sisters are at this point.

Overall a very quick and fun read with a sexy cowboy, a fiesty bull riding heroine and a completely adorable child that will make you want to read on.
