One night of passion... Detective Jackson Cantrell never imagined that one night with an irresistible stranger would turn his life upside down. He’s spent years living in the shadows, but Dr. Michaela Roarke awakened a passion inside him he'd buried years ago.
He never expected the woman would turn out to be the governor's daughter...and his next assignment. The governor blackmails Jackson to secretly watch over Michaela and protect her from a stalker, or kiss his dream job at the FBI good-bye. Swearing to keep things strictly professional, Jackson moves in with Michaela. Too bad his heart can't keep the same promise. But when the stalker's attacks quickly escalate beyond mere photographs to bodily harm, Jackson must race to save Michaela's life. And he’ll have to figure out how to keep her once she discovers his lie.

The Review: A Night of Southern Comfort is a sizzling, intense and hot read - one that is dangerously addictive and full of uncontrollable passion.

This  story was very thrilling, entertaining and of course, dangerous. It's full of action and adventure and has a great plot. It became hard for me to forget this story once I had finished because of how much I enjoyed it. I'd love more from this author surrounding these two characters or even a companion novel featuring Lucky. But what I enjoyed about this book was how fast paced it was. Most stories tend to start of slowly but not this. From the get go you're thrown into the characters lives  so you really get to experience their struggles, making the story that much more vivid. Jackson and Michaela have one of those relationships that is full of suspense and really leaves you a bundle of nerves, because you just can't predict their relationship. The chemistry between the two is so unbelievably hot, that it makes you want a relationship like that too.  Jackson was fantastic. I loved how protective he was of Kayla, even though she could look after herself. He cherished and truly loved her, so it was sweet to read about.
.
Overall, A Night of Southern Comfort is a great, action packed read and one that is definitely unforgettable read. A must read for fans of Entangled Publishing's Indulgence line.
