Weekly Update (#6)

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Hows your week been? Can't believe how quick the week flies by. What have you all been reading?

As you all know, our blog design went live during the week. We're so glad you like it because we love it.
Yes, we are still working on the blog, we have to change all fonts and change colours so it matches and we also still have to add a few other things, so if you can bare with us during the next few days while we get everything sorted :)

In Order of Appearance of Photo's

I haven't had much this week, I have brought a few books but they haven't been delivered yet so I will include them in next weeks mailbox. The books I have received have been book's I've been asked to review by the authors. I've already read The Advice Girl and found it an enjoyable read, you can already check out my review. The other two books by Michelle Scott, I hope to pick up at some point next week but I'm excited to read Blood Sisters as it sounds really good.

I was busy buying last month, and I bought The Morganville Vampires books 1-9 and the first 4 in the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning. Both of which arrived a couple of days ago. Across the Universe was kindly bought for me by Donna for R.A.K (Random Act of Kindness). So YAY for having more books to get through the year :)

Cover reveals

The Wood Queen (The Iron Witch #2) By Karen Mahoney
Release Date: February 2012.

Here it is guys, the cover reveal for Karen Mahoney's second book in The Iron Witch Series. There's no blurb reveal yet but we will keep you updated as soon as we know.

What do you all think?

Donna's thoughts: Personally, I must prefer the cover of The Iron Witch. This doesn't really do anything for me. I'm not quiet sure I understand what's going on, on this cover because yes, you've got Donna's tattoo's in again but why are they a different colour? Maybe this is a sneak peak at the story line?? I'm not to sure.

Jess's thoughts: I haven't read these books yet, but I've seen both covers, and I agree with Donna, The Iron Witch cover grabs me more than this one does. Either way I'll still read them, when I get the chance.

Bleeding Hearts by Alexandra Harvey
Release Date: October 1st, 2011

The Blurb: Lucy's cousin Christabel has come to live in Violet Hill, and adjusting to the difference between life in a small mountain town and her home in the city is difficult enough. The strict curfew that Lucy's parents enforce is the worst part. Something really dangerous couldn't possibly happen in this tiny town. But Christabel has noticed some mysterious happenings, and it seems like Lucy, her boyfriend Nicholas and his brother Connor are all in on a secret that Christabel doesn't understand - one that seems deadly serious. Although she won't admit it, Christabel would love to be in on any secret with Connor Drake. But after Christabel is kidnapped by the ruthless Hel-Blar vampires, Lucy and Connor finally fill her in on all the undead drama. Together, they must find a way to stamp out the Hel-Blar for good.

What do you all think?
Donna's thoughts: I love it. The Drake Chronicles is one of my favourite series and I'm really looking forward to this release. I love the new cover. All the covers to this series seem to tie into the story line so I'm eager to find out more. I really love how each book is based on a different Drake brother, they've all been fantastic so far and I hope Connor will be too.

Jess's thoughts: Again, I haven't read these books either, but I really like the sound of them and I've heard really good things about these books. So I will give them a go at some point.

I agree about The Iron Witch cover being much prettier. I'm drawn to that one--this; not so much.
