Badgers have always lived under the old oak tree. But one day, a terrible storm arrives. Big-hearted Badger works hard to keep his friends safe from the bad weather - protecting burrows and rescuing nests. But who will look after Badger's home in the old oak tree? Badger and the Great Storm is a warm and touching tale of friendship, courage and new beginnings. With gently humorous illustrations from Caroline Pedler (Don't Wake the Bear, Hare! and There's No Such Thing as Monsters!), it's the perfect book for sharing with children.

The Review: Badger and the Great Storm is a touching tale about animals who come together during a dark storm. In order to help out his fellow friends, Badger helps them prepare for the storm before himself, but will Badger have enough time to protect his own house?
What a lovely read! Through out Badger and the Great Storm the story shows younger readers that putting others first and helping where ever you can is always a great thing to do. It sends a great message across and really shows you the true meaning of friendship through these little animals.
My daughter and I really enjoyed the story and in fact since we first received it, we've read it several times. We even took it to her grandmother's house and it was read there as well. It's definitely become quiet a hit amongst our family read because not only does it send the right message across but, it's beautifully illustrated with bright and realistic pictures, it has cute animals that you wish lived close to you and and it's touching and heart-warming story will stay with you long after you've finished.
In all, this was the first book we've read by Suzanne Chiew and Caroline Pedler and we'd love to see more work from them because if they can produce more books like Badger and the Great Storm, then we'd have very happy children all the time.
Thank you to Tiger Tales for giving me the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an honest review.
