This is the second book in the November Blue series.
November Harris is lost. After a failed romance with musician Bo Cavanaugh, Ember is left struggling to regain her true self. The problem is, Bo won’t go away and Ember's stance is firm—she doesn't want him back.
Adrian Turner, Ember's ex-boyfriend-turned confidant, is patient with her heartbreak, but he can't hold back his own feelings forever.
As she sorts through her past, in an effort to plan a solid future, Ember will find that sometimes even the best laid plans bow to the soul's desire for reckless abandon.

The Review: "His finger lifts my chin. "I'd follow you to the beginning of time, to the end of time, and back, November. Just say when." I grab his face and kiss him softly before pulling away. "When." -November and Bo
Well. It started off a little sketchy for me. I had a hard time trying to like Ember, some of the decisions she made in the last book pushed me over the edge and I was hoping there was no redemption ..I was wrong. I really enjoyed this one more than the first. It doesn't really have that '2nd book syndrome' like some books do. It's actually slightly better than the first, we get a glimpse into more Bo with a few pages written in his point of view, which I loved! I love duel points of view and it really worked in Reckless A because of the motions he and Ember were going through at the time.
Andrea Randall most definitely has a way with words. Reckless A actually drew me in pretty quickly. It starts where Ten Days of Perfect ended and I was in a "I don't like you Ember" mood so I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get through it. Thankfully, I did. The story in this was really good, it flowed all the way through and although Ember did really frustrate me with pretty much everything she did I managed to overlook it because the writing was wonderful. I'm just going to touch on Bo a minute. He's still absolutely perfect, and I love him. He goes through so much in this book that I instantly fell for him all over again. Around the 72% mark Bo's world came crashing down and it is a punch to the gut for all his fans. I was sat on the train on my commute home when it happened and I had to restrain from ugly crying. So I settled for wet eyes instead. The situation although completely unfair, is handled extremely well by Andrea Randall that you feel it, all of it, along with the characters. Marvelous piece of writing.
Reckless Abandon is a fluid story filled with angst, love, unrequited love, betrayal, so much depth and a wonderful set of fabulous characters that will just leave you wanting so much more from them. It has a wonderful HEA which I can assure is the most welcome site after everything that happens in this book.
Although I did only give Ten Days of Perfect 3 stars (for my own reasons) I do love Andreas writing and her stories are fabulous that I will absolutely recommend this series to be read, and I will absolutely be reading many more books of hers. Providing she writes more HOT males ;)
A very solid 4 stars :)
I started writing poetry long before writing fiction. I firmly believe Poetry is a solid foundation for all other forms of writing. It taught me that a single word can make or break the world.
I write fiction because my characters have a story and they want me to tell it.
I hope you enjoy the pieces of my soul that I share with you.
