The Replacement
by Brenna Yovanoff

Though he lives in the small town of Gentry, Mackie comes from a world of tunnels and black, murky water, a world of living dead girls ruled by a little tattoed princess. He is a replacement - left in the crib of a human baby sixteen years ago when it was stolen away by the fey. Now, because of fatal allergies to iron, blood and consecrated ground, Mackie is slowly dying in the human world. Mackie would give anything just to be normal, to live quietly amongst humans, practice his bass guitar and spend time with his crush, Tate. But when Tate's baby sister goes missing, Mackie is drawn irrevocably into the underworld of Gentry, known as Mayhem, where he must face down the dark creatures and find his rightful place - in our world, or theirs.

Jess's thoughts: I've had this on my shelf for so long. I bought it over a year ago and I still haven't picked it up. I was mostly attracted to the cover and I love anything Fae. I'll get to it one day. Hopefully.

Donna's Dusty Read

Overprotected
by Jennifer Laurens

Ashlyn:A lonely society princess living in New York City.

Daddy hired you to be my bodyguard.

Colin: Childhood enemy, now her protector.

Daddy thought I’d be safe. He thought I’d never fall in love. He thought he could keep me forever.

Charles: obsessed with keeping her safe, keeping her his, he hires the one person he knows she could never fall in love with: Colin.

Daddy was wrong.

Donna's thoughts: Ever since I read Jennifer's 'Nailed' I've been dying to read this but I just haven't had time. I've heard so many great things about it too so I MUST try and read this book, this year.

So that's our Dusty Read's for this week! Don't forget to leave us your thoughts below.

Happy Reading!

The Replacement was (still is) one of my Dusty Reads a few weeks ago.My cover is different though. It sounds really good but I've heard pretty "meh" things about it. Overprotected sounds interesting!!I love books in NYC since I visited last year.

I still need to read a Brenna Yovanoff book soon too. :) Everyone seems to love them! The Replacemnt is the first one I'd like to try. :)

The Replacement has been on my to-read list for a long while, but I always stopped myself from buying it, because I've heard many mixed things about it. I hope you'll get to it sometime soon, Jess, because I'm definitely looking forward to hear your opinion.

Aaaah, I have Overprotected on my Kindle (it was free on Amazon a while ago, I think) and can't wait to start it. I loooved Jennifer's Heavenly (and I soo need to continue reading that series as well) and can't wait to read more of her books. :) I hope that we'll get to it soon, hun! :D
