The Review: What can I say? I hate giving less than favourable reviews and this is a mixed bag of pluses & minuses. On the plus side the author has a good story, the idea behind it is good and I liked what world our main character was being brought into, her hidden background, what that means for her and the people that would use it for their benefit. On the minus side the pacing was terrible -for me- the author tends to be overly descriptive, writing every little detail - seriously, one morning scene of getting up, ready & breakfast took about 5 kindle pages -TMI- and it wasn't needed and harmed the story for me because it bogged it down. Then stuff would happen storywise and I'd perk up, but back to being long winded when the excitement was over. There was just too many times when I lost interest through the filler so the story didn't flow well at all. I also didn't like that every man who met her - wanted her and she wanted them - nope, give me one good love interest, maybe another for flirtation but not 4 and also her gay pal was like a carbon copy of Lafeyette out of True Blood. I forced myself to read it to the end and didn't even get any answers because it has a cliffhanger - CBA to read book 2 even if it is half the size of this. I really wanted to like this and maybe with a good edit & a lot of pages removed, it could be a decent read but in it's current form I was left felling like I had wasted a chunk of my life =(
I was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in the suburban outskirts of this amazing city. I love anything paranormal and/or supernatural - seriously I live in Philadelphia! For those of you who don’t know, this city is an awesomely haunted place! This healthy paranormal addiction has provided me the motivation to write my first book, “I’ll Be Damned.”
I graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and I'm currently working on the Anna Wolfe Series.

These books really sound cute :).
Lol, I think 5 pager is a little over kill!!! I also hate a book where the MC seems to want every guy that passes. I dont think I could finish a book like that though, so well done :) Great review Mel.
