When Blaire Wynn's mother passed away, Blaire's life changed in an instant. Having cared for her sick mother for the last three years, suddenly Blaire has to leave the small farmhouse in Alabama they shared, to move in with her father and his new wife in their sprawling beach house along the Florida gulf coast. But what she isn't prepared for is the lifestyle change that comes with the move, and she knows she'll never fit into the new world of luxury and extravagance that suddenly surrounds her.
Even worse, her father has run off to Paris for the summer with his wife, leaving her stranded with Rush, her new stepbrother, who's irritating, arrogant and… seriously sexy. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous; his famous father's guilt money, his mother's desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no. Blaire knows he is anything but good for her, but somehow she can't fight the attraction she's feeling, especially when she starts to think the attraction might be mutual… Rush is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that Blaire just may have fallen too far.

The Review: “The love she left behind will be the reason dreams are reached. She was the rock in a world that was crumbling. Her strength will remain. It’s in our hearts.”
Abbi Glines never fails to impress me! First she rocked my socks off with The Vincent Boys, and then it was her Sea Breeze series and, now it's her Fallen too Far series. Wow! Abbi is such a talented writer!
In Fallen too Far we meet Blaire and Rush. Blaire's mother has just died and she's having to turn to her only family - her father. Problem is, he left her and her mother when they needed him most. When Blaire turns up to live with him, she's in for a shock when she finds out he's run off to Paris with his new wife, and the house Blaire is supposed to be staying at, is actually owned by her new hot step-brother - who is kind of a jerk. However, Rush is kind enough to let Blaire stay at his house until she has enough money to move out, but when sparks soon start flying - can Rush let Blaire go? And more importantly, does Blaire want to go?
I really loved Blaire and Rush's story - it's such a hot and steamy read and one that is completely addictive. So addictive that I had to rush out and buy the other two books in the series, just to see what happens. (It's awesome by the way). I loved Rush and Blaire together - despite their problems they have something really beautiful and all-consuming. They really were enjoyable characters to get to know.
What I love about Abbi's story is how she creates such believable worlds. You're sucked in from page one and I often find myself wishing I lived in a little world like that - even with all the drama. And every time I finish one of her books, I'm left wanting more. I guess it's a good job I put off reading some of her series because I have so many I have to catch up on. ;)
In all, Fallen too Far is a fantastic start to another fantastic series by the amazing Abbi Glines! And I can't wait to see what this lady comes up with next.
1 comment:
Great heroine. But the love connection between H and h was kind of
rushed, and their chemistry was not convincing. For the most part there
were not much going on till the end.
