The Review: It’s over and I’m so sad! The Selection series is one of my favourite dystopia stories ever and I couldn’t help but be excited and nervous for The One. I was dying to see how it would all end for my favourite characters and it was definitely spectacular.
As the competition for Maxon’s heart and crown draws to an end, America finds herself in a difficult situation because the rebels are determined to put an end to the casts and ultimately take over the throne. But can America change the fate they’ve all been drawn or will she lose everything she’s worked for?
I’m so thrilled with The One. What a fantastic and beautiful end to end the series, bravo Kiera! Of course I was worried with how things would turn out because of how much I love this series but I believe Kiera Cass did the best she possibly could with the ending and it really reflects in the end. It was exciting, dangerous and very exhilarating, not to mention swoon-worthy, heart-breaking and of course full of love.
I didn’t think America and Maxon could get any cuter but they did. They are the perfect match – even despite the casts they are given. They really bring the best out of each other and even though they may not agree on everything, they complement each other so well. They are fantastic together and their love really shines throughout this book.
In all, The One is simply a breath-taking ending and it was more than I could have possibly hoped for. I cannot wait to revisit this series in a few years and start it all over.
Thank you to HarperCollins UK for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an honest review!

I was slightly disappointed by this (found it a bit predictable) but thought it rounded the series off nicely.
So glad you liked it. I loved it also. I was so happy by the ending. It was just awesome! Hooray! Bit sad it's over now though. Have you heard about the new novella coming out from Queen Amberly's POV. I can't wait to read that, I'm sure it will interesting to see her perspective of things.
Great review! :)
Oh no! I'm glad I loved it, I was nervous but I loved it! x
I have Kay, I'm unsure if I will read it. I would love more from the series but not too bothered about Queen Amberly. Glad you loved the book too! x
I still haven't started this series yet! I'm hesitant because I'm not a contemp fan and I'm not sure if I'd like this. :)
Fab review!! I completely agree with everything you said! I thought it finished the series perfectly.
I love this series! Great review. I knew how it was going to end but I loved following the journey up to it. <3
I have been putting off reading this because I really don't want it all to end. Plus I was a little aggravated with how book 2 went down. I mean by the end of book 1 I knew what boy I wanted her to be with, but then in book 2 everything gets thrown upside down. Hopefully I will get this book in my hands soon and can find out for myself whether its as amazing as everyone says, but I really just don't want it to be over lol. Great review!
